Individual, Family, and Couple Therapy

Professional, confidential psychotherapy provides support and inspiration for people to initiate change or handle distress in their lives. Psychotherapy is a tool people use to achieve short term goals or long term, life-encompassing change. People of all ages, cultures and backgrounds experience circumstances that may prompt them to seek the help of a therapist.

Your circumstances might include:

  • A recent loss or threat of loss in a relationship, your job, your finances, your health, or another major area of life.
  • A need for objective feedback, support, and guidance for changes you want to make.
  • Restlessness or discontent about your relationships or career.
  • Symptoms of depression or anxiety that are so severe they're slowing you down or stopping you from functioning normally.

I approach my work in this way:

  • I listen because being understood is the foundation for getting collaboration and help.
  • I make a safe place for you to explore what you want and need for yourself, and to identify the steps necessary to achieve that.
  • I help you hold yourself accountable toward changes you want to make.
  • I give you practical tools so your tasks toward change are manageable and achievable.

I provide support for:

  • Co-parenting with an ex-spouse
  • Living in a blended family
  • Sustaining your relationship with your spouse after your baby is born
  • Recovery from alcohol, drug, gambling, or sex addiction
  • Living with family members who drink, use drugs, or have other addictions
  • Living with family members with mental conditions or difficult personalities
  • Meeting the challenges of a career in entertainment
  • Career transition

I can help you to:

  • Identify the causes of panic symptoms and decrease symptoms
  • Decrease social anxiety and improve social skills
  • Rebuild trust in your marriage or partnership
  • Keep your sanity during separation or divorce
