About
Following 20 years in the film industry, I earned my Master of Arts degree in psychology from Phillips Graduate Institute, a school with a well-earned reputation for its rigorous academics and effective therapist training programs. The Phillips core curriculum provided invaluable theoretical knowledge that I use with clients daily. In addition to the core curriculum, I chose a specialization treating chemical dependency, inspired by my personal interest to help people recover from alcohol and drug addiction.
After completing my degree, I continued my clinical development at a number of internship sites where I worked with diverse populations. Due to the contexts where I received training, I've treated nearly every emotional problem known to the field. During many years of work with clients experiencing homelessness, I developed my specialization treating alcohol and drug dependence combined with severe mental illnesses, and I developed an in-depth understanding of the consequences of trauma that can lead to homelessness in people from a variety of backgrounds. The experience I gained on the front lines of treatment continues to inform every aspect of my work.
Upon licensure, I began seeing clients in private practice which I enjoy immensely. When I'm not working, I enjoy shooting photographs, doing home improvement projects, and spending time with my family. I'm currently taking new clients and I look forward to speaking with you.
